MENTAL HEALTH CONSULTANT: F/T POSITION
OHEL’s new Early Childhood Mental Health Program is seeking a warm, empathic, LCSW or LMHC with excellent communication skills to provide mental health services to children under five and to their caregivers. Consultant will be providing on site consultation to early childhood centers throughout Brooklyn sites and in OHEL’s out-patient metal health clinic in Brooklyn to address the needs of individual children in need of assessment and intervention. Additionally, candidate will work collaboratively with staff at early childhood sites, providing programmatic consultation, teacher consultation and training, and facilitate increased programmatic capacity to address the mental health needs of young children. Appropriate candidate must have knowledge of early childhood social emotional development, 3 years’ experience providing evidence based treatment to young children and their families, and experience in providing presentations and trainings to groups of parents and educators. Bilingual a plus. Languages sought: Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, and Yiddish.

THERAPIST/ MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN (F/T)
OHEL’s new Early Childhood Mental Health Program is seeking a warm, empathic licensed mental health professional with excellent communication skills to provide mental health services to children under 5 and to their caregivers. Therapist will provide assessment and mental health treatment to children under 5 and their families in OHEL’s outpatient mental health clinic in Brooklyn and at early childhood sites and schools as needed. Appropriate candidate must have knowledge of early childhood social emotional development, 3 years’ experience providing treatment to young children and their families. Weekly supervision and training in evidence-based practices will be provided. Bilingual a plus. Languages sought: Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, and Yiddish.

PSYCHOLOGIST
Part time position available for Licensed Psychologists to work with adults who have developmental disabilities within a residential setting in Brooklyn. Responsibilities include psychological testing, behavior plans and assessment, staff training and counseling, participation in Interdisciplinary team meetings, counseling individuals and groups, and working with different committees. Formal education and training in behavior management required. Experience with developmentally disabled population and NYS License required.

RESIDENCE MANAGER (F/T)
Position available to work within a residential setting for women who have developmental disabilities located in Brooklyn. Responsibilities include supervising all aspects of client care, programming, staffing, and facilities management. Candidate should work well in high stress situations, be a strong communicator, have excellent writing skills, and possess exceptional leadership abilities. Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Masters preferred) and experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and/or the geriatric population required. NY or NJ Driver’s license a must

SOCIAL WORKER- PCU (F/T)
Position available for a high energy, professional to work with families and children in our Preventive Care Program in Brooklyn. Work scope includes individual, family and play therapy to counsel children, adolescents and adults coping with difficulties such as parenting, family conflicts, school issues, mental illness and domestic violence. Responsibilities include providing clinical and case management services in a supportive and collaborative environment. Supervision, and CEU in-service training provided. MSW or MHC degree required. Strong administrational skills a must. New graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply. Position is 35 hours per week, with availability needed to work 2 evenings a week. Driver’s license and own car preferred.

Responsibilities include providing case management via home visits and phone consultations to individuals with psychiatric, developmental, and geriatric population. IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
IT Support Technician Seeking highly motivated self-starter with an understanding of computer hardware and software with strong customer service skills and an eagerness to learn for mid-level position. Ability to calmly troubleshoot user issues with office and database applications a must -- experience with healthcare applications a plus. Understanding of modern telephone systems and data networks helpful, but not required (we will train). While there is a major user-support component, this position is an opportunity for an employee to develop expertise in all areas of today's enterprise computing environments. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with tremendous enthusiasm to upgrade all skill-sets. 2+ years’ experience with Windows and Linux applications in a Windows Enterprise environment required. Some travel within the New York metropolitan area will be involved. Valid driver's license and own car required. Responsibilities include referral and advocacy, regular meetings with individuals and families, and assisting families with needs of the disabled child. OHEL’s new Early Childhood Mental Health Program is seeking a warm, empathic individual with excellent communication skills to provide advocacy, coaching, and support to parents of children under age 5 experiencing social, emotional, developmental, medical and/or behavioral challenges. Appropriate candidate should have lived experience as a parent/ caregiver of a child who has had similar issues and has had to navigate multiple child-serving systems on their behalf.

PEER COUNSELOR
Residential program serving adults with mental illness is seeking part-time staff to serve as peer counselors to clients. Peer counselors will offer guidance, support, and willingness to mentor and guide the clients through their personal recovery. The position will be in a residential setting located in Borough Park section of Brooklyn. Training will be provided. Previous peer counselling experience and/or training a plus.
