What is "Emotional Health Screening"?

The Emotional Health Screening is a one page document which asks an individual to rate themselves in a number of key areas that are indicators of emotional health.

My Child Seems Fine. Why Do I Need It?

Children may sometimes seem to be fine, but have a personal challenge which has gone undetected and can be addressed in a proactive way. The screening may well confirm that a child has no isses and is well-adjusted.

Why Should I Do This Screening - As A Child I Never Needed It?

We are far more sophisticated today about mental health issues, and we need to be, as the challenges and stressors of contemporary society take a unique toll on children. In addition, if we can address an issue which is relatively small today, it may well prevent the issue from growing into something larger in the future.

How Confidential Is This?

The screening process is completely confidential. Ohel will undertake the screening process and share the results only with the parents. No information is shared with teachers and prinicipals.

Testimonials from Parents:

"I was so relieved to learn that my child is facing a challenge which she was uneasy discussing with us. Now we can get her the help she needs."

"The screening was administered to most of the children in my son's class, so he didn't think it was in any way unusual. The results indicated that he's doing fine and we feel good to have this confirmed through the screening process."
