Over 400 Celebrates Purim at OHEL Matisyahu Musical Benefit
Attendees from across the Five Towns and as far afield as New Jersey enjoyed an intimate and acoustic performance from Matisyahu. The event also included an evening of dessert, cocktails and fabulous raffle prizes
Organized by the Long Island Families for OHEL and lead by co-chair Rachel Marks, the event was held at the Sephardic Temple in Cedarhurst and helped raise much needed funds for scholarships for children attending OHEL’s many upcoming summer camp programs – including Camp Kaylie, the new groundbreaking fully integrated summer camp for kids of ALL abilities - opening this summer in Wurtsboro, NY.
David Mandel, CEO of OHEL commented that “the night was especially important for the way it introduced many to OHEL for the first time. This was a crowd with excitement, youth and love of gemilas chasadim. These are all attributes personified by those who came out to support OHEL and the many programs it provides.”
