Commissioner Carrion Visits OHEL
Commissioner Gladys Carrion of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) recently visited OHEL and met with staff and board members to learn more about OHEL's programs and discuss new ways in which OHEL and OCFS can work together. Commissioner Carrion was presented with a moving letter written by a foster child regarding his experiences in OHEL's foster care program and his subsequent adoption. OHEL was recently awarded a grant from OCFS to develop a new Family Case Management program. OHEL looks forward to a continued relationship with the Commissioner and everyone at OCFS.
