
David Mandel is proud to be Chief Executive Officer of Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services, a leading organization with a broad array of mental health programs serving more than 20,000 individuals in New York and its environs. Ohel’s work in Resilience, Trauma and Grief reaches thousands nationally. Camp Kaylie@Ohel is a unique camp integrating typical children and children with disabilities in a fun-filled summer experience that lasts a lifetime. Ohel is led by an active Board of Directors.
Mr. Mandel is Chairman of the Touro College School of Social Work Professional Advisory Board. He is a keynote speaker and lecturer on a broad range of mental health issues and a frequent contributor to newspapers, magazines and radio programs, with more than 300 articles published on mental health, addictions, adolescent conflict and sexual abuse. He has collaborated on several professional journal articles and has been a regular contributor to the Times of Israel.
Mr. Mandel is co-editor with Dr. David Pelcovitz on Breaking the Silence: Sexual Abuse in the Jewish Community KTAV Publishing January 2011.
