OHEL, Camp Kaylie and HAFTR Hold FREE Carnival
Providing entertainment to kids and respite for parents
Over 1,000 children and families attended a FREE community-wide carnival organized by OHEL, Camp Kaylie and HAFTR.
The idea of the carnival was to provide entertainment for children and much needed respite for parents and families who have been hard hit by the Hurricane.
Activities included bouncy houses, prizes and giveaways generously donated by Mendy and Hedy Klein, snacks donated by Gourmet Glatt as well as water generously donated by the Hershey Pennsylvania Fire Company, who have been in the community providing much needed help since the Hurricane hit.
While the majority of families came from The Five Towns, many families came from Brooklyn and even New Jersey. Additionally children with developmental disabilities who are part of OHEL Bais Ezra’s weekly Sunday program at HAFTR enjoyed the carnival.
Among those in attendance where Elly Libin, long time dedicated OHEL Board member as well as his wife Suzy, Jonathan Marks an OHEL Golf Chairperson and his wife Rachel an OHEL Board member, Judy Lebovits of the Gruss Foundation and OHEL and Camp Kaylie Board Member Jay Kestenbaum.
OHEL thanks the many volunteers who came from TAG, HAFTR, HALB, Rambam and Yeshivah of Flatbush.
