OHEL INSTITUTE PROVIDES TRAINING ON SHORT-TERM THERAPY
How can therapists be most effective when working with individuals who are unable to make a commitment to extensive or long-term therapy?
Mental health professionals had the opportunity to find answers to this question at a recent professional workshop sponsored by the Mel and Phyllis Zachter OHEL Institute for Training.
Featuring internationally-recognized Brief Therapy expert, Dr. Katharina Anger, the November 1st workshop provided professionals with essential tools for helping individuals, couples and families within short-term contexts. Participants working from various theoretical perspectives gained valuable insights into applying the Brief Therapy problem-solving approach across a wide range of therapeutic issues.
The workshop was enhanced by clinical case presentations and a demonstration psychotherapy session, which enabled therapists to learn hands-on intervention strategies for facilitating meaningful therapeutic change
