Bio, Education, Training, and Certifications
Margo Hanan, LCSW, is a clinician and supervisor at the Tikvah clinic in Early Childhood Mental Health and Children and Family Treatment and Support Services. She was previously with JCCA for 8 years, where she provided individual therapy to at-risk teens, ran group therapy sessions, and gained experience supervising other clinicians. Margo also worked as a mental health supervisor in a foster care agency where she managed mental health assessments and services for children of all ages. She has been part of Ohel’s Early Childhood Mental Health team.
In addition to her clinical work, Margo supervises clinicians, facilitates parenting groups, and leads perinatal support groups, helping individuals and families build stronger, healthier foundations.
She is trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Play Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P).
She holds an MSW from Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work and is also SIFI-certified (Seminar in Field Instruction) in clinical supervision.
